Ever wanted to learn how to cook in a camp oven? Mildura Field Days are absolutely thrilled to have
joining us at the 2021 event.
Ranger Nick is the "Guru" of camp oven cooking and is the master of keeping it simple. Ranger Nick has been demonstrating camp oven and bush cooking skills professionally since 2010, travelling the country and abroad. In 2019 at the Charleville Fishing Club Nick and the team claimed the World Record title for the Longest Damper, measuring 153.002m. What a sight that would have been to see.
More than just a cooking show, prepare to be entertained with bush poetry, yarns and ballads and maybe even a sample of the camp oven fare (subject to COVID restrictions though of course).
Nick will cover topics such as heat control, different heat sources, cleaning and caring for the camp oven, camp oven storage, and types of camp ovens
